But she's tugging at his sweater and he's eager to help her along instead, breaking away from the kiss briefly enough to help her yank the sweater off. It's a little awkward laying down, but he doesn't want to disentangle their legs so he does it with pure determination.

His smile widens while he kisses her again, tasting gingerbread on her tongue. Literally the only downside in trying to get his shirts off is he has to keep breaking away from her mouth. He starts to fiddle with the buttons on his shirt when she does, getting only a few of them open before he gives up and shifts upright just enough to let her hopefully pull it up and over his head too.
