Her face goes soft because of him and he finds himself relaxing, smiling at her. They are not the same people they used to be, but it's still so easy to be with her. Figuring out the next step is awkward, but he's not worried.

He brushes his thumb over her cheek. He's glad she's back in town and he's glad she's laying beside him.
