She glances down at herself, finally moving. Only her hands, lifting them under the blankets to slip out by her head and flip the blanket down to expose her torso. Immediately she has mild regrets because she was so toasty warm in that little cocoon, and now she is struck with the brisk hospital air. Her shirt is gone, RIP, and replaced with a stretchy, hideous hospital issue sports bra that she only dimly remembers putting on, and a massive bandage covering the entirety of her abdomen.
"Can you remind me, what happened?" She knows. She's pretty sure she knows. Car accident, lots of pain, her head and her stomach hurt and she remembers telling the nurse her blood type in case she needed a transfusion, but the rest is a blur. "No more spleen? That's useless like the appendix, right?"
