What Cassian has yet to realize, after nearly 400 years together is that Jyn times her arrivals perfectly. She knows how long it takes Cassian to get antsy and she waits until just after that to make herself known. Eventually he will grow tired of waiting and move on to a task that finds himself distracted just enough for Jyn to creep around.
It is only because being light on her feet is Jyn's specialty. She still has to wait for Cassian to be in the zone to sneak barefoot down the side of the house -- having walked from town specifically to be quiet and abandoned her bags and shoes in the grass -- to find him sat at his drafting table on the back porch.
She leans against the railing, the slightest creak of the weather beaten wood giving her away.

"Hello, darling."
