Jyn loves the ocean, having been raised by the sea for most of her life, but the same cannot be said for her tiny charge. The gentle rocking of the boat -- nearly undetectable on a ship this size -- have only made Florence feel poorly and since she is so small and new, her discomfort mainly exists in heartbreaking wails and a refusal to sleep.
Jyn is hoping the fresh air will do her some good, so she wraps a blanket around the little girl, tucking her soft blonde curls under a woolen bonnet, and heads up to the deck to keep walking her until she settles and falls asleep. She doesn't actually know if it is allowed, if she is allowed to roam the deck at night but if someone stops her she'll just go back down and torment the entirety of first class with Florence's wailings. If she is not allowed, she thinks an exception might be made.
The cold air is bracing when she pushes open the door and steps out onto the deck, breathing in the scent of ocean air and cold. Even Florence stops crying, her wails turning to whimpers.
"There we go, love. Nothing a bit of fresh air won't cure, is it?"
Her own ears quickly feel the chill, having forgotten her own hat. The wind pushing past the enormous ship plucks curls free from her bun, sending them swirling around her face as she strides across the deck, bouncing Florence in her arms to keep her from starting back up with the crying. The baby'll get used to the sea soon enough.
it's over a hundred feet longer than the mauritania and far more luxurious!

Jyn hopes.
