He does seem mildly placated, at least as it comes to this Jyn Erso herself. It is most definitely the way she talks to him like a real person, acknowledges his existence rather than placing him as simply part of the backdrop. He's only polite to most of the First Class passengers because his job requires it.
They're rude as shit most of the time. Cassian Andor definitely hates rich people.
